Many riders struggle with traditional techniques that don’t deliver the results they hope for. I guide you to think, speak, and communicate with your horse using evidence-based methods and a deep understanding of equine behaviour.
What can you expect?
As a horse trainer, I specialize in equine cognition, learning, and biomechanics, and my aim as a coach is to help riders connect more deeply with themselves and their horses. With decades of hands-on experience training horses across multiple disciplines, I bring both technical mastery and genuine passion to every arena.
Having competed professionally in Dressage, Show Jumping, Eventing, and Working Equitation, bred and broken in elite warmbloods, and grown up working with beef cattle and stock horses, I understand both the “real world” and high-performance aspects of riding.
My approach is a hybrid model of coaching, training, and riding that blends the latest scientific knowledge with practical, hands-on experience to help you and your horse reach your full potential. I hold a Diploma in Equitation Science from Dr. Andrew McLean’s school, a Diploma in Horse Business Management from Marcus Oldham College, plus a Bachelor of Counselling and a Bachelor of Psychology

What is ‘Equitation Science’?
Just like psychological science is interested in the study of human behaviour, psychology and mental process; equitation science is interested in the study of equine behaviour, psychology, mental process and biomechanics.
It is not to be confused with 'Equine Science' which is about the generalised study of horses.
Equitation science zones in on training and welfare management.
Single Sessions
For those who have a PIVO or similar and we can live stream to arrange a virtual lesson. Your Contribution - $71.50 for a 30 min lesson. $143.00 for a 60 min lesson.
For those who can't access virtual or in-person coaching but still want support. Send me some footage to review and then make a booking to discuss. Your Contribution - $143.00 for a 60 min virtual discussion.

If you are an adult riding club, pony club or group of individuals who would like to host a clinic with me - please contact me directly for availability and bookings. Day rate (8.5 hours) ~ $1,400 incl GST + travel & accommodation if required.
